INDUSTRY STATUS IN KARNATAKA
2003-04
In the year 2003-04, in Karnataka State 12,220 Small Scale Industrial Units have been registered with the Directorate of Industries and Commerce. These units, it is estimated that will generate an investment to the order of Rs. 370.50 Crores, providing employment for about 57,000 persons.
With this achievement, the cumulative number of SSIs as at 2003-04 has touched 3.10 lakh with a total investment of Rs. 6534.28 Crores and employment potential of over 17.7 lakh persons.
